Operations Manager

A suitably qualified candidate is required to fill the position of Operations Manager of a Security outfit with head office in Lagos and operations in Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos. There is a plan to extend services to other major cities in Nigeria.

Job details:

The Operations Manager will report to the MD/CEO and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the company. The role is responsible for implementing the annual operations plan and management of all relevant operating expenditure programs.

The responsibilities include:

• Supervise company staff to ensure that objectives of the company is achieved
• Coordinate the business operations in all areas the company is operating.
• Manage all aspects of company operations including overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure company success by developing and maintaining financial budgets for company operations, as well as ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Works directly with the clients and builds company image by collaborating with customers,government and employees; enforcing ethical business practices and ensuring high quality of service
• Increases company’s effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining company staff as necessary; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing a climate for offering information and opinions;
• Manage installation and operation of Security Systems, CCTV, Access Control systems as well as e-security applications for the company.
• Job Requirements
• Minimum Required Experience: 8-10year(s) experience. Previous experience in a similar organisation or in a government security agency (Army, Police, DSS, Navy, etc. ) will be an advantage.
• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree/HND from a recognised and reputable institution.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision, understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies; Ability to work well with all levels of management and employees; Able to supervise large population of staff; Problem solving and conflict management skills; good judgment, physical strength and stamina; Effective communication, presentation and people management skills.
• Knowledge of operation of Security Systems, CCTV, Access Control Systems and e-Security will be advantage.
• Conversant with security agencies, relevant laws, regulations and best practices.
