We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The role holder will be a team member in the finance unit and provide support to the Finance department by preparing financial statements, reporting, and managing daily accounting tasks.
• You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

Job Responsibilities
A typical day on the job will involve:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with other accounting projects
• Ability to be strategic and give input on financial metrics that can aid business growth

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree from a reputable institution with at least a Second class upper (2.1) degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from any recognized Institution.
• Must have 2 - 3 years of work experience.
• Be between the ages of 19 – 25 years.
• Proven experience in Taxation or related tax services is a plus.
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Great attention to detail.
• ACCA certified / On-going.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
