Job Summary

• Responsible for monitoring cash transactions to ensure that bank account balances to the report and any unusual items are investigated. Monitoring and tracking cash flow (weekly, monthly, quarterly.

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Maintains system cash book
• Receives incoming cash by cheque and processes cash onto the system
• Coordinates the writing and dispatching of cheques
• Collects cash and issues receipts
• Supervises cash and bank unit vis-à-vis proper funds management
• Prepares balances for total cheques, cash and credit card payments to cash book
• Monitors overdue payments by use of a spreadsheet
• Ledger and bank reconciliations, investigates misallocated cash and monies gone missing
• Liaises with individual credit controllers in respect of cash/query allocations
• Determines the opening bank account balances.
• Identifies the daily cash flows from varied transactions.
• Complete account reconciliations from the general ledger and bank records
• Makes adjustments based on seasonal and monthly financial divergences and liquidity transactions such as bank to bank transfer.

Job Specification

• A Degree in Accounting
• Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Understanding of Accounting Tools
• A keen eye for detail
• Communication skills

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to remain confidential.
