Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Manage all accounting transactions of the company and its subsidiaries.
• Ensuring that all daily transactions of the company (manufacturing journal, stock transfers, purchases, expenses, sales, e t c ) are reconciled and posted in the system.
• Reconcile all raw materials, packaging materials issued to the factory.
• Handle weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Ensure that stock-taking is carried out weekly and monthly.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable (customers and suppliers account)
• Ensure timely bank payments and handling of monthly bank reconciliation
• Ensuring store officers update the bin cards and also post stock movement in the system.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Prepare budget forecast implementing and monitoring of financial controls in respect of expenses, materials procurement and utilization.
• Responsible for reporting the company's business performances, compare with budget (annual estimate) report and investigating variances.
• Preparation of monthly brand income statement for management use.
• Publish financial statements in time.
• Generating monthly trial balance from system’.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
• Reconciliation of the entire production process both local and international.
• Report on the company’s financial statement from the system.
• Report on company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Audit financial transaction and documents.
• Initial payment of salaries, wages, processing and payment of all invoices and claims to suppliers and contractors raising of expense tickets.
• Vet all sales documents to ensure that the system is fraud free.

Skills and Qualifications

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant Degree
• 5-10years accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like tally.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Additional certification (ICAN) is a plus
• A female preferably.
• Must have experience in the FMCG company.
