The need to have same quality standards across the group made strong business case for its set-up. Mogtech Group was set up to provide shared Management services for the various companies within the group in a standardized manner.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accounts Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Duties / Responsibilities/ Accountabilities


  • Assist in attending to external auditors in preparation of the annual financials of the company.
  • Liaise with local, State and Federal tax authorities on tax matters.
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic financials of the company.
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of department annual budget.
  • Handling bank activities such as: Lodgement of cash and cheques, dividend warrants into banks and cashing of instruments.
  • Assist in the handling of impress.
  • Assist in preparation of daily product sales report.
  • Assist in periodic stock/ Inventory report.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by your line manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Performance Goals

  • Prompt raising of Authority to Load Certificate as soon as customer transfer fund into the Company account for product purchase. Exact quantity paid for must be released at the Management approved daily price.
  • Ensure receipts are generated for customers promptly and ERP account is updated accordingly. Reconcile any observed variances by comparing Bank statements with ERP statements.
  • Post invoices accordingly. Adhere strictly to processes and procedures guiding imprest. Ensure payments are authorised and approved. Timely posting of receipts vouchers into the ERP.
  • Remit PAYE, Vat & Withholding tax returns to the appropriate government Agencies timely to guide against sanctions.
  • Ensure documents are properly filed and kept in safe cabinet. Proper protection of financial information.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting with 1 - 2 years work experience.
