Job Position: Accounts / Store Manager

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary


  • Manage the Store, provide quality strategy to ensuring the business achieves its objectives and delivers on its promise to all stakeholders.
  • Play a pivotal role in achieving the sales targets and generate revenue for the organization.
  • Responsible for data compilation, integrity and quality control over financial transactions accounting, inventory management and control, revenue and cost recognitions, Financial Analysis and Reporting

Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting:

  • Posting of transactions to the GL from relevant source documents PCVs, CPVs, Invoices, Receipts and JVs; maintenance of schedules of fixed assets, sales, prepayments, accruals etc.
  • Ensure accurate and adequate record keeping of all statutory deductions! And ensure filling as an when due.
  • Ensure filing and safekeeping of source documents.
  • Product costing
  • Manage the process of cash receipts and disbursements in line the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements, investigate, and clear all reconciling items.
  • Coordinate budgeting activities including budget formulation, preparation, and presentation.
  • Periodically monitor and review performance against budget by analyzing trends and variances
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual management reports to management in prescribed format in support of management decisions.
  • Participate in and coordinate all other ad-hoc audits.

Procurement, Inventory Management & Control:

  • Participate and ensure compliance with procurement processes through appropriate approval of request, negotiation, order, and regularization of delivery of inventory.
  • Ensure sufficient stock level is maintained for smooth sales operations and efficient customer service delivery.
  • Ensure protection of the inventory against deterioration, obsolescence, and unauthorized use.
  • Monitor and ensure an accurate daily, weekly, and monthly report of inventory by various units.
  • Ensure a proper and accurate accounting of stock movement between various units of operations.
  • Co-ordinate period inventory count, reconciliation, and reporting.

Operational:

  • Coordinate & ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and other components of customer service.
  • Coordinate and ensure prompt and efficient operational duties:

  • Coordinate and ensure prompt and efficient response to all sales teams across the channels email website WhatsApp retail store etc.
  • Oversee the textile and fashion production with associate.
  • Participate with Design & production team for store front/internal design for each quarter for store installation concepts.
  • Participate with Marketing team for events.
  • Suggest content to Marketing to Assist Sales & revenue generation in store.
  • Adhere to and contribute to operational processes that ensure improved operating policies, processes, and frameworks of the entire business. client response to all sales teams across the channels email website WhatsApp retail store etc.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A First Degree in any relevant discipline preferably Business Administration or Design Management or Architecture.
  • Three (3) - Five (5) years post graduate experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with a Gallery, Design studio or any related business with responsibility for Profit & Loss and Administration.

Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the Arts and Design Business.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, IT and specialist design software.
  • Hands-on General Management Knowledge.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 / month.
