Job Position: Mass Communication / Journalist Intern

Job Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Internship

Job Description

• We are seeking a passionate and creative Mass Communication & Journalism Intern to support our communications, content, and media activities.
• The intern will gain hands-on experience in journalism, content creation, public relations, and media management, while contributing fresh ideas to strengthen our brand’s voice and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, writing, and editing articles, press releases, newsletters, and blog posts.
• Support content development for social media, websites, and print/digital publications.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns, features, and media projects.
• Gather information and prepare reports/stories for publication.
• Assist with media monitoring, fact-checking, and trend analysis.
• Maintain communication archives (press clippings, photos, videos, media contacts, etc.).
• Provide support in video scripting and multimedia content production.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the communications and editorial team.

Requirements

• Recently graduated in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. [Share portfolio]
• Good research and analytical ability.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Basic knowledge of photography, videography, or graphic design is a must.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under deadlines.
• Gain practical experience in journalism, media relations, and corporate communications.
• Develop writing and reporting skills across multiple media formats.
