Job Position: ASIC / FPGA Design and Verification Engineer

Job Description

  • You will be part of Chiplab.net Silicon team, developing high-performance and low-power hardware to enable Chiplab.net and its customers to continuously innovate in ASIC and SoC design space. You will work with Silicon Architects and Logic Designers to drive architectural feasibility studies, develop timing, power and area design targets, and explore RTL/design tradeoffs for physical design closure. You'll also work with Verification and Software teams to understand and implement the design requirements for clocking and power management.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities for ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer:

  • Micro-architecture development from System level architecture and requirements
  • RTL development using System Verilog/Verilog. HDL Coding of design based on micro-architecture definition
  • Interface definition, state machine design, datapath logic and control logic implementation
  • System Verilog Lint, CDC, Synthesis, and Power optimization
  • Soft and Hard IP Integration
  • Collaborate with verification teams in verification goal development and regressions
  • Collaboration with physical implementation teams to close the design for timing and power

Responsibilities for ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer:

  • Develop, write and maintain test plans in collaboration with Design Engineer
  • Create and maintain UVM testbenches
  • Utilize UVM to create drivers, monitors, predictors, and scoreboards
  • Create unit level module testbenches from scratch
  • Write cover points, assertions and close coverage
  • Desirable experience in scripting and test automation for regression testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits design.
  • Strong understanding of Boolean algebra, digital logic design and digital systems design fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of computer architectures.
  • Experience with RTL coding and Verilog/System Verilog.
  • Experience with a scripting language, such as Perl or Python.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Coursework in Digital Design, Computer Architecture, Digital Circuit Design, VLSI Design, Design-for-Test and/or Design Verification.
  • Familiarity with design tools related to Verilog simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification, power analysis, and/or place and route.

  • Target Salary range: N6,000,000 - N10,000,000 per annum (depending on level of training).
