In almost a year, we've introduced a steady cadence of innovations, such as statement pages, a no-code tool to retrieve bank statements, and much more. We've connected to 10% of all active bank accounts in Nigeria, and our investors include YCombinator, Entree Capital, and others.

Description

  • We are looking to hire a Brand Designer to shape how our brand is presented to the public and who is responsible for ensuring strategic, seamless experiences throughout our customers interaction with us.
  • You will breathe life into our brand and give it a tangible and unique identity that cuts through the noise and strikes a chord with the public.
  • At Mono, we seek to build infrastructures that promote reliable access to bank accounts with high quality financial data and collect direct bank payments with ease.
  • Through your continuous crave and curiosity for strategic creativity, you will implement this message and design execution to ensure that our customers understand our objective clearly.
  • To perform this role effectively, you will work closely with the Growth, Business and Product teams to ensure that you understand, define and create a visual language that is as an extension of the brand at every stage of our business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Working on the Design team to create visual assets and devices to maintain and develop the company's brand.
  • Design, produce, and update printed and digital marketing collateral such as social media assets, banners, signage, web graphics, sales / corporate presentations, web mockups, and display ads.
  • Create high-quality visual work, expressing our identity in diverse ways while staying consistent with the brand.
  • Assist to ensure all marketing communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with strategic marketing goals and brand guidelines.
  • Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, and visually engaging.
  • Partner with other designers, growth/marketing team, product team, and engineers to ensure quality in all aspects of campaign execution.

Requirements
You'll thrive as a Brand Designer if you:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of professional or freelance experience in designing brand identities, editorial layouts, and general graphic design
  • Have a well-rounded portfolio that demonstrates your ability to deliver high-quality visual design
  • Show proven ability to independently conceptualise and think critically about design, and iterate quickly.
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale.
  • Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of typography, iconography, colour, space, and texture
  • Have proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
  • Have an ability to build on other people's ideas to come up with new ones
  • Have ability to learn new tools quick
  • Enable others, non-designers, to create on-brand assets.

Bonus

  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
  • Proficiency is in 3D software(or open to learning).
