Job Position: Business Banking Officer

Job Locations: Abia, Imo, & Rivers

Job Summary

• The Business Banking Officer is responsible for sourcing, acquiring, and managing SME and corporate banking relationships.
• The role involves identifying lending opportunities, providing tailored financial solutions, and supporting the bank’s business growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and manage SME and corporate clients through strategic marketing and partnerships.
• Identify and structure credit opportunities in line with the bank’s risk framework.
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through effective relationship management.
• Recommend suitable financial products including loans, treasury, and investment services.
• Monitor and grow assigned business portfolios to achieve revenue and performance targets.
• Conduct market visits to identify new opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
• Provide financial advisory services to help clients manage growth and liquidity needs.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal documentation standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc / HND in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
• 2–4 years of experience in business or corporate banking.
• Strong financial analysis, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record in client acquisition and portfolio growth.
• High initiative, goal orientation, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
