We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Position: Business Development Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities
You will:

• Lead the annual sales and marketing plan for your designated sales territory.
• Deliver annual sales and gross margin budget objectives.
• Prospect and present products and services to Farmers, Contractors and Vets in your sales area.
• Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails and social media).
• Develop, build and maintain strong working relationships with current and new customers.
• Keep customers informed of new products and services.
• Co-ordinate and implement sales promotional programmes.
• Liaise with the relevant Company personnel to ensure new product and business growth opportunities are maximised.
• Report monthly on sales performance, new product introduction and submit monthly expense records.
• Respond to all issues with prompt attention.
• Travel to destinations to best facilitate transactions or training.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Business development, business management, marketing or related field.

Requirements and Skills:
You will have / be:

• 3 years of marketing experience with an agriculture background and/or agriculture sector.
• Experience in business-to-business marketing.
• Proven experience with marketing strategy & plan development
• Used to selling to farmers and the agricultural industry
• A good technical approach.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple diverse tasks and deliverables within one or more projects.
• Business acumen and business development experience.
• Excellent writing, communication and project management skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
