Job Description

• We are currently recruiting for the position of a Chief Accountantto advance our vison and company objectives.
• The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the entire financial management, planning, financial risk, operation, budgeting and strategy, keeping track of the company’s cashflow and expenditures, investments, capital structures, taxation; collating, preparing financial data and financial reporting of the company’s performance for executive management and board decision making, as well as strategizing on long-term financial management for SDI.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and drive the financial planning and all accounting transactions
• Risk management, analyse financial risk and performance on the SDi’s liabilities and investments, analyse company’s cash and liquidity ratios for strategic investments.
• Handle and monitor daily cashflows and expenditure in the company’s operations
• Set up and run SDI’s financial systems is running smoothly in accordance with company financial policies and according to the law of the land.
• Preparation of all monthly statement of accounts financial statement, balance sheet, profit and loss statements of account, income statement, shareholders report, tax report, as well as government agency reports.
• Establish all priorities for the financial planning process and ensure waste is minimized.
• Analyse operations and generate budget forecast expenses monthly, quarterly and yearly
• Make local and international payments, such as monthly staff salaries, payment vouchers, month
• And such other duties as may be assigned to you by the CEO from time to time.
• Oversee all investment funds and work closely with the investment bankers in raising additional capitals when required.
• Filling, computation and remitting of all tax returns to the appropriate body FIRS, LIRS; company income taxes, education taxes, withholding taxes, VAT, etc.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, account payable and receivables.
• You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SDI. You will also devote your full business time, attention and best efforts to the performance of your duties and to the furtherance of SDI’s interests.

Job Reqirements

• Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees in Accounting with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Master's in Finance is an added advanytage
• ACCA or ACA is important
• Ability to work within a small and dynamic team
• Excellence in details and problem solving
• Attention to details and abilkity to minimise errors
• organisational teams pirit and analytical mindset
• Excellent inter personal and communication skill is very necessary.
