We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Duties
- Reporting to the Executive Director and ensuring that change projects including but not limited to the strategic sub-projects on Engagement, Training, Sustainability and Administration are successfully implemented with the specified results obtained, to the required quality standard within specific time and cost.
- Facilitate project planning including the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables; develop full scale project plans.
- Undertake research, develop proposals, conduct or oversee feasibility studies, and prepare reports to support strategic decision making.
- Drive the successful implementation of projects; monitor and control projects.
- Provide direction and support to project team
- Timely preparation and submission of periodic progress and other reports.
- Budgeting, resource planning, mobilization and management.
- Responsible for liaison with various strategic partners, agencies and networks; represent the project at meetings of parties to the project
- Build and manage relationships, networks and partnerships to support projects and achieve set goals
- Undertake or drive marketing and fundraising activities
- Monitor and manage risks; contingency planning.
- Conduct project evaluation and results assessment
- Project quality assurance
Qualifications/Requirements
- An MBA or a Master's Degree in Public Administration, International Relations or a relevant subject area
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools. Project management certification would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five years experience in project management including project planning, fundraising and implementation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and supporting project management software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
