Job Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking to employ a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support the work of the Company's CEO, focusing on the establishment and optimization of day-to-day operations in the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the operations of the medium-sized network of retail filling stations that are being positioned for rapid growth in the short to medium term
• Contribute to the process of growing the retail network operations in the short to medium term.
• Drive critical components of the various initiatives that are intended to turnaround the business of the company.
• Initiate and implement necessary administrative and policy changes to entrench a culture of integrity, efficiency and diligence among the personnel.
• Advise the management team on key planning issues and make recommendations on important business decisions.
• Establish operational processes/process improvement
• Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services
• Set operational and / or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals
• Establish and monitor performance reporting systems and goals to ensure that progress is being made
• Manage financial performance reporting process.
• Core oversight responsibilities for team building and employee development
• Manage Strategy Implementation, in particular, ensure activities comply with organizational requirements for Quality Management, Legal Stipulations and General Duty of Care.
• Take Charge in High-Priority Crises.

Required Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences or any other relevant course
• MBA or certified equivalent would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience
• Proven track record in managing multiple Operations management.

Others:

• A technical management background is essential
• 10+ years of management experience in the Oil & Gas Service Industry. Additionally, at least 5+ years of individual contribution to technical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of international petroleum product procurement and shipment logistics
• Exposure to regulatory requirements essential.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent written skills with the ability to produce concise and creative bids.
• High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet).
• Motivational and Leadership Skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills required to build relationships with potential clients
• Willingness to get stuck in and help deliver
• Demonstrable knowledge of global giving in general and with a development focus.
• Ability to think strategically, plan and work within agreed timeframes.
• Strong project management, resource planning, internal client management, financial management and budgeting skills.
