We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Chief Purchasing Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Ensure supplier reliability and align procurement with company goals.
• Optimize procurement for cost and efficiency.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for business continuity.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts to ensure quality, cost, and delivery.
• Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Optimize supplier performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable terms and ensuring compliance with legal and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and executing procurement strategies.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor management skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement software and data analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of financial and budgetary management.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement.
