LemFi (YC S21) is building the neobank for African diaspora in North America & Europe. We provide our users with a multi-currency account that allows them to hold, send, and receive money from Africa in any currency for their business and personal banking needs. We are a fast-paced startup with entities in the UK, USA, Canada and Nigeria and you would be required to familiarize yourself with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements in these locations.

Job Position: Creative Copywriter

Job Summary

• We are seeking a creative Copywriter to help communicate the brand's values, products and proposition across our marketing and product channels.
• You will write clear, engaging, concise copy for ads, emails, publications, and websites to inform our target audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work with design and marketing teams to ensure that the copy fits the needs of the project.
• Write clear and persuasive marketing copy with a distinct voice
• Edit and proofread copy as needed
• Write engaging blog posts, social media content, monthly newsletters and editorial features in line with the brand's voice.
• Re-writing and updating information on the website and in company materials.

Requirements and Skills

• 3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills
• Ability to collaborate and work as a team
• Solid editorial judgement
• Experience covering niche topics or interests is an added advantage
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills
• Creativity.
