Job Description


  • As Credit Operations Analyst you will be responsible for the credit analysis, credit assessment, and performance reporting of credit sales across the Group operations.
  • You will also be responsible for the engagement of credit bureau and also collaborate with the strategic business unit on debt recovery issues and the ageing analysis of debt owed the business.

Job Responsibilities
Credit Analysis:

  • Analysis of credit sales and support in the approval process of credit to clients
  • Routine engagement of credit bureaus and other agencies supporting the credit approval process
  • Analyse customer focused and firm-wide credit risk, while quantifying credit risk and also making recommendation for credit risk management
  • Support the negotiation of credit documentation with clients
  • Provide support in the development of a credit performance reporting tool that feeds into the cash forecasting model, for ease of Liquidity management.
  • Proactive analysis of the credit market and provide advisory support to the business on how to drive credit sale

Credit Operations:

  • Provide support in setting credit limits and also ensuring the enforcement of those credit limits across the Group operations.
  • Provide support in the development of a robust credit assessment tool and an approval process for ease of credit management.
  • Provide support in the development of a debt write-off process as a part of credit performance reporting.
  • Provide support in the development of a mechanism bad debt transfer obligations and/or bad debt recovery.
  • Provide support in the development of a collaborative debt recovery process with the relevant strategic business unit and the legal department.

Experience and Professional Qualifications

  • First degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or any other business-related subject from a reputable university
  • Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CIMA etc.)
  • Minimum of 7 years related work experience
  • Experience in a multinational firm is an added advantage
  • Experience in a Group Treasury function is an added advantage.
