Job Position: DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Nigeria

Job Description

• We are looking for talented applicants for our DevOps Engineer role. You willwork in a lean-agile environment consisting of daily standup, weekly iterations and weekly retrospectives.
• You’ll build up a network of amazing and talented people and be exposed to some of the most sought after technologies in the Cloud industry through your everyday work.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage our cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Automation:Develop and maintain automated deployment processes to streamline product deployment operations. Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilise Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate the provisioning of infrastructure resources
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to ensure seamless integration of systems. Work closely with software engineers to understand application requirements and provide scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Container & Container Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes,AKS/ECS cluster
• Monitoring and Performance Optimisation: mplement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
• Security: Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud environments. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support for cloud-related issues and incidents.

Qualifications

• Ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 2 years of previous experience in a Cloud DevOps Engineer position.
• Certifications of Cloud services AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP.
• Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or Java.
• Experience with database management and SQL, exposure to Mysql, Oracle or Postgresql is an advantage.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional descriptions and ultimately technical solutions.
• Outline knowledge and awareness of public cloud services and hunger to learn new things and execute that to construct highly efficient cloud solutions.
• Experience teaching and mentoring junior DevOps Engineer.
