Job Description
Demonstrate decision driving skills including, but not limited to, proper following distance, proper eye lead, proper stopping distance, checking intersections, using safety wedge, proper use of horn, left/right turn execution, seat belt use, checking and scanning mirrors, maintaining proper speed, proper lane observance, parking in appropriate locations and avoiding backing-up, Keep a clean and orderly vehicle. The driver will be tasked with the responsibility of the vehicle being in their care.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicles to designated destinations
- Drive safely and deliver persons/products within deadlines.
- Analyze, determine appropriate routes and maintain schedule.
- Report any accidents or injuries to management immediately.
- Perform vehicle inspection such as checking fluid level and tire pressure.
- Notify supervisors about any major repairs and maintenances.
- Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle clean and safe.
- Perform vehicle inspection before and after each trip
- Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.
- Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle performance forms and complete daily paperwork
- Provide special care in delivering fragile and hazardous products
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be composed, observant, and a careful driver
- Must be at least 18 years and above of age to apply
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license
- At least 3 years’ experience driving at a corporate or organized body
- Verifiable work history over the last 6 months
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
- At least a minimum of O-Level Certificate
Added Advantage:
- Good use of computer and other digital equipment
- Good writing skills, communication and proficient with numbers
- Good communication and looks
- A Nigeria lover or neutral
