We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Electro-Technical Officer 

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Full-time

Special Responsibilities

• To be familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to his responsibilities.
• The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment and instruments including:
  • High and low voltage systems
  • Safety and alarm systems
  • Steering systems
  • Engine room equipment
  • Generators and motors
  • MESD system
  • Fire & Gas detection system
• To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure to MSUP as appropriate
• Familiar with the "Permit To Work System"
• Carry out routine safety/megger tests and checks on equipment as required by MSUP
• Ensure that electrical, electronic and instrument spare parts and stores are checked and safely stored and that replenishments are ordered through the MSUP
• Maintenance of computer network

Qualification and Experience

• Have completed not less than 12 months of combined workshop skills training and approved seagoing service of which not less than six months shall be seagoing service as part of an approved training program which meets the requirements of section A-III/6 of the STCW Code and is documented in an approved training record book, or otherwise not less than 36 months of combined workshop skills training and approved seagoing service of which not less than 30 months shall be seagoing service in the engine department;
