West African Soy Industries Limited (WASIL) operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa. The manufacturing facility is located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, with raw materials sourced from farmers in Kaduna, Katsina, Niger and other states across Nigeria.

The Company is active in the Soy value chain through its out-grower farming activities by providing high quality agri-inputs to farmers and procuring farm produce from them through off-take arrangements.

 

We educate the farmers on Yield Enhancement Techniques (YET) to improve their crop yield, and train women on best practices in Shea collection and primary processing.

Job Position: Purchasing Supervisor

Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Department: Purchasing

Job Description

  • Coordinate all material sourcing.
  • Manage Price negotiation and analysis for the department.
  • Process purchase order.
  • Reporting of periodic activities.
  • Responsible for vendor management.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and service completion.
  • Conduct market survey and be involved in contract management.
  • Ensure best procurement practices.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the head of department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in Purchasing
  • Degree in Social Sciences, Engineering or related courses
  • MBA and/or any relevant professional body will be added advantage.

Job Position: Store Officer

Job Description

  • Receiving and inspecting all incoming and outgoing material/equipment and reconciles with purchase orders, documents and tracks damages and
  • discrepancies.
  • Maintains an inventory control system for the Store to ensure goods received, stored and shipped from the store are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Timely issuance of materials with approved MRS to end users.
  • Ensures that all MRS are posted before close of work everyday.
  • Ensures store inventory is organized and stored in an orderly, accessible and safe manner by managing space and determining storage methods according to industry best practice and company’s safety procedures to minimize potential for accidents, injuries or hazards in the Warehouse/Yard.
  • With respect to { FIFO } move or transport materials to departments in response to production needs. Knowledge of equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is helpful. In addition, knowing how to move items safely without bodily injury to themselves or others is essential.
  • Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • Transmits all required documents and reports in timely manner
  • Performs other job-related duties as and when necessary.
  • Ensures that accurate data is timeously entered electronically in line with stipulated monthly deadlines
  • Participation in daily safety routine.

  • Organize routine servicing schedules and carry out quality inspections.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in the field of Manufacturing, and process companies (SEP, Prep, Refinery).
  • Strong mechanical repair/troubleshooting and metal working skills.
  • Proficiency in Machine Repair, Machine Tool Operations, Pipefitting and Welding.
  • Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
  • Ability to read and/or interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints or schematics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal
  • Be able to perform basic reading and arithmetic problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Be willing and able to learn shop math, including simple geometry.

Job Position: Boiler Operator
Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Description

  • Monitor Boiler plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.
  • Start or stop Boiler, auxiliary pumping equipment, or other equipment when necessary.
  • Open and close valves and switches in sequence to start or shut down auxiliary units.
  • Daily observance of the sectional checklists.
  • Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs, or reports.
  • Clean, lubricate, or maintain equipment such as Boiler, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Check and report hourly change in readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals.
  • Monitor the temperature, output, and water level of the system.
  • Operate or maintain distributed Steam generation equipment, including produce energy on-site for processing or other commercial purposes.
  • Communicate with incoming shift operator’s boiler status as needed
  • Collect oil, water, samples for laboratory analysis as needed.

Qualifications
