Experienced In-house Web Developer

We are seeking a talented and accomplished in-house web developer with a knack for graphic design to join our team.

As the web developer, you'll be instrumental in crafting, maintaining, and enhancing our websites and web applications. Your expertise in best practices and design methodologies will be crucial for the success of each project.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in website development, particularly advanced skills in WordPress. Your responsibilities will span web programming, web graphics, layouts, and a keen eye for design, both digital and print, as our focus lies within the publishing space.

In addition to competitive compensation, this position offers an opportunity to work closely with our editorial team, lead projects for our sister companies and clients, and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at boosting our brand visibility and identity.

Responsibilities:

- Lead in-house and client website projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.

- Manage content across all sites, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand guidelines.

- Collaborate closely with the editorial team and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

- Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with the team.

Requirements and Expectations:

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, IT, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with various web development tools and technologies.

- Proficiency in HTML5, WordPress, JavaScript/JS frameworks, CSS3, SQL/MySQL, PHP/Python, and API integration.

- Strong command of visual and communication design principles, including mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.

- Understanding of SEO best practices.

- Ability to maintain high efficiency and accuracy under pressure.

- Demonstrated commitment in previous roles.

- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Ibadan (not a remote position).
