Job Position: Factory Manager (Expatriate)

Job Location: Lagos

Description


  • We are looking to hire an Expatriate who is an experienced factory manager to supervise factory workers and ensure that factory targets are met.
  • The factory manager's responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. He should have a sound knowledge of the working of the machineries and equipment in use in the factory.
  • You should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • To be successful as a factory manager, you should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production.
  • Ultimately, a top-performing factory manager should have exceptional communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that factory operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
  • Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.
  • Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
  • Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
  • Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
  • Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
  • Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
  • Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.

Quality Control Manager:

  • Including without limitation the following functions as they relate to the Company's manufacturing operations:
  • Perform manufacturing systems in line with Company procedure & industry standard.
  • Adhere to established manufacturing and materials control policies and procedure in compliance with GMP and quality standards.
  • Ensure safety and maintain required inventory in production area.         
  • Provide Training to Junior Technicians on plant operations.
  •  Promote safety & healthy production environment and perform safe work practices.
  • Establish & ensure high-performance standards characterized by integrity.
  • Support engineering personnel in production data management.
  • Lead & Direct operators to ensure free flow of production.
  • Monitor & maintain production machines & equipment.
  • Monitor & control processes using visual observation, process data & on-line testing.
  • Identify & debug problems in processes, products, equipment & work/troubleshoot for solutions.
  • Resolve practical problems & deal with variety of concrete situation variables where limited standardization exists.
  • Perform tasks assigned to operations as per Master task List (MTL).
  • Create production graphs, analyze production trends and write a report.
  • The Company's Management may also assign other duties and responsibilities to Employee that are reasonably related to the foregoing.

Factory Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
  • Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills
