Job Summary
- We are delighted to announce that we are looking to hire a Finance and Office Administrator on a 12 month contract, who will be responsible for financial and administrative support to the Nigeria office ensuring the proper use of financial resources according to established procedures.
- The FOA will be responsible for day-to-day office operations and finance.

Responsibilities
Financial management:
- Ensuring payments are made on a timely basis in compliance with OPM’s policies and procedures and local legal requirements. This includes understanding and applying all taxes in compliance with local legislation.
- Petty Cash Management.
- Submitting statutory payments in compliance with local legal requirements.
- Supporting Financial Accounting team on internal financial reporting, and monthly reconciliations.
- Retaining financial records in accordance with local legislation and OPM’s document retention policy.
- Coordinate with internal Finance Controller and external auditors on corporate and project audits.
- Managing local cash flow requirements in accordance with OPM’s policies and procedures.
- Accurately recording all financial transactions and uploading data to financial system in accordance with month end and year end timetables.
- Following internal policies and guidelines on financial management.
- Prepare and support budget forecasts
- Maintain fixed assets register and carry out asset counts fortnightly.
- Support external audits.
- Coordination with banks and other vendors for operational requirements.
Office Administration:
- Support daily office procedures including vendor management, office related maintenance, and registrations.
- Ensure OPM and relevant regulations are adhered to in all procurements of goods and services and ensure proper inventory and physical management of assets.
- Routinely place orders to replenish office supplies.
- Manage the filing, storage and security of documents.
- Monitor property leases, relevant insurances, telephone and internet services and utilities.
- Ensure all office related contracts are up to date
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and workshops.
- Providing logistical support including arranging flights, accommodation, and visa applications
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification in accounting or finance will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant proven work experience an Office and Finance administrator or similar role
- Experience with MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Solid knowledge of office procedures
- Attention to detail
- Having experience of working with international Development organization will be an added advantage
