Job Description
- We are looking for a Finance Associate to join our Nigeria operations. In this role, the Associate will be expected to interface with clients, suppliers, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of data monitoring mechanisms for facilities’ weekly revenues, deposits, bank balances, and withdrawals. Where necessary, collaborate with the Operations team to collect information on revenue.
- Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and forecast processes.
- Ensure Customers’ ledgers are updated in time to enable real-time decision making
- Identification and Minimisation of risk associated with Investment Portfolios
- Collaboration with Operations to ensure the unit’s annual objectives are met.
- Receivable management -working closely with the collections team to obtain payment based on agreed payment period.
- Financial analysis and determining viable investment opportunities via NPV, ROCE and other methods in collaboration with Operations
- Computation of cash and recovery analysis
- Manages the Business Unit’s expenditures to ensure that there are proper authorization and approval and spends are within the approved budget
- Responsible for identifying highly liquid investments in which idle cash can be invested and ensuring an adequate balance between risk and return
- Any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- ICAN / ACCA / CFA membership required
- 3 - 5 years of experience in managing receivables & financial reporting preferred
- A B.Sc / HND in Accounting or Finance-related field from an accredited university / Polytechnic.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Accounting packages.
- Excellent problem solving skills

- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
- Proactive and dogged
- Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills
- Methodical, accurate, and consistent attention to detail (figures & numbers)
- Able to manage sensitive and confidential information

- Reports to the Finance Manager.
