Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) is a National registered NGO with CAC No: CAC/IT/NO 25643 and has been in operation for over 10 years. Our mission is to work with the poor and socially excluded people and government for the promotion of environmental and human rights protection in communities in Nigeria, aimed at poverty reduction through education, information sharing, research, training and direct impact interventions are in humanitarian emergency response and development, with physical presence in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Abuja, Cross River, Akwa Ibom States.

Background

  • Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) isa national non-governmental organization registered in Nigeria since 2007 and implementing a range of humanitarian and developmental programs in different parts of Nigeria. GREENCODE programs are in the areas of Nutrition, Protection (GBV)/Sexual and Reproductive Health, WASH, Shelter/NFI/CCCM, Food Security/Livelihood, Accountable Governance, Environmental Management, andPeace Building. Arising from the Board and Management’s desire to build and improve the functioning of the organization to a national NGO of excellence, the BOT/MGT have agreed to hire the service of a MEAL expert to strengthen the Monitoring, Evaluation,Accoutability and Leearning (MEAL) function of the organization todevelop MEALpolicy forthe organization.
  • The consultant will review past and present OCAT reports, interact with MEAL team to further identify gaps, draft MEALpolicies, propose standard operating structure (SOPs) for the MEALunit, recommend and set up HR software system, templates etc.

Objectives

  • The primary objective of the MEALConsultant is to review GREENCODE’s MEALpolicy and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.

The key objectives are:

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of the MEALpractices, identifying areas for improvement or revision.
  • Develop MEAL manual for the organization
  • Ensure that policy comply with local labor laws and align with NGO best practices.
  • Draft thepolicy to reflect the organization’s values and objectives, promoting employee well-being, professional development, and organizational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of the developedpolicy through training and capacity building for HR staff and managers.
