Job Summary and Description

• We are looking for a highly capable Node.js developer to optimize our web-based application performance.
• You will be collaborating with our front-end application developers, designing back-end components, and integrating data storage and protection solutions.
• To ensure success as a Node.js developer, you should possess extensive knowledge of Node.Js based services and experience in a similar role.
• This engineer will also be integral in Ashipa Electric’s product development. The role will involve working closely with our customers to determine needs, design projects and deliver results. The successful candidate will do the following:
• Plan, design, implement and test new features from conceptual designs and customer requirements
• Collaborate with other product managers to identify current and emerging technical issues via pair programming and code reviews and apply technical knowledge to solve them.
• An accomplished Node.js developer will be someone whose expertise results in the stable, fast, and secure exchange of data between servers and end-users.
• Ashipa Electric is seeking a qualified Full Stack Developer with primary strength in Backend development and knowledge of Javascript.
• The developer will be a key part of our software development initiatives.
• Leverage cleantech and financial subject matter expertise to help drive engineering decisions and contribute to the company’s long-term strategy.
• Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end requests.
• Collaborating with front-end developers on the integration of elements.
• Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Support project teams to assure technical and financial milestones are met.
• Support Ashipa Electric’s global sales staff through architecture briefings, data modelling, and demo setup and execution.
• Continually seek training to broaden technical expertise
• Interface with national and international technical networks with manufacturers, consultants, and academia and research organizations.
• Manages product development projects.
• Writing and running unit, integration and system tests
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.

Requirements
Education:

• B.Sc, B.Eng, or HND in any relevant field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 5+ years with both front-end and back-end experience
• Knowledge using one or more frontend Javascript frameworks with strong knowledge of backend Javascript
• Must be able to exercise judgment, diligence, and attention to detail and demonstrate an aptitude for carrying out responsible technical assignments.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead, assign, and take complete ownership of tasks from concept to implementation.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps based process environments.
• Preference for cloud technology experience (AWS, Digital Ocean, serverless, or microservice-based implementations).
