Job Position: FullStack Wordpress Developer

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Fulltime / Part Time

Job Description

• Verifying that the aesthetic, functional, and visual layout achieve optimized performance on tablets, smartphones, notebooks, and desktop computers
• Developing reusable code for continued use
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, must be able to work with API’s to handle data.
• Create customWordPresswebsites based on designs and functional specifications.
• Create custom, responsive themes and templates from scratch.
• CustomiseWordPressplugins, work with custom posts, meta, taxonomies, and tags.
• Utilise PHP-based CMS platforms, mainlyWordPress
• Customise and extendWordPressthemes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites usingWordPressand WooCommerce.
• Solid understanding ofWordPress, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in React, PHP, Vanilla JS, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with APIs and RESTful web services.
• Produce efficient, clean, and well-documented code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other pertinent programming languages.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and tools to elevate website functionality and user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure compatibility across diverse browsers and devices.
• Address and troubleshoot technical issues related toWordPresswebsites.
• Solid knowledge of website performance optimisation and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Craft and develop customWordPressthemes, templates, and plugins to create visually captivating and user-friendly websites.
• Implement robust security measures to safeguard websites against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Skills Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in customWordPressdevelopment.
• Proficiency in working withWordPressAPIs, hooks, and filters to extend functionalities.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases and the ability to write efficient database queries.
• Expertise inWordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap and version control systems like Git is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of PHP and experience in developing customWordPressthemes and plugins from scratch.
• Experience with Laravel or any similar framework is essential.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and otherdevelopers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
