Job Position: General Manager (Rice Production)

Job Location: Calabar, Cross River

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Summary

• We seek to engage a General Manager to oversee the overall operations of the rice manufacturing company, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Operations Management: Oversee production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics to ensure efficient operations.
• Cost Management: Optimize production costs, minimize waste, and improve profitability.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics.
• Quality Control: Ensure high-quality products meet customer and regulatory standards.
• Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 10 years of proven track record in the related industry with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and drive business growth.
