Tribes.AI is a new startup aiming to help build strong high-performance teams with advanced analytics. Teams today produce a huge amount of data via everyday activities (emails, meetings, chats, files, tasks, code, etc) that can be mined for trends. This data provides powerful insights into team performance and helps management make more informed decisions about their employees, teams and clients.


The management team at Tribes.AI have already successfully built and sold a large data consulting company, Datalicious. About the Job

  • As a Graphic Designer on our team, you'll own the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.
  • You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of our social media, blog, email content, websites, books, reports, white papers, exhibitions and more. Our product is still using an out-of-the-box website template so UI/UX is mostly taken care of by that but you'll be required to also wear the hat of a UI/UX designer for smaller jobs.
  • Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
  • For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.
  • The goal is not only to be visually appealing but to also inspire and attract the target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Schedule projects and define budget constraints
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
  • Test graphics across various media
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Requirements
Soft Skills:

  • Hungry for knowledge and passionate about their chosen discipline in the right way (i.e. not merely applying the most fancy algorithms or tools but instead the ones best suited to solve the business problem at hand)
  • Capable of working with almost no supervision (i.e. be self-driven, able to organize their own tasks, QA their own work and spot their own errors, explore new approaches, manage time frames / deadlines, etc)
  • Great written and spoken communicators (i.e. solid written and spoken English skills, efficiently use of instant messaging and other remote team platforms, ability to document code / tasks, know when to bother other people with their own problems, etc)
  • Team workers with a strong collaborative attitude (i.e. interest in other team member's challenges, ready to help with constructive suggestions unasked, never make any fuss about other people's mistakes, positive can do attitude all around,etc)
  • Obsessed with perfection and driven by a constant need to optimize (i.e.always wanting to look for a way of doing things even better than they already are, etc)
  • Committed as in ready to stay with us for the long run (i.e.recruitment, on-boarding and training are extremely time-consuming tasks we do not want to go through time and time again)

Technical Skills:

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Develop UI elements, mockups, and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop)
  • Some background in UI/UX design would be a bonus
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to details.
