Job Position: Graphic Designer Specialist
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

• Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a qualified candidate to fill a creative technical position as we hope to maintain our status as the leading broadband connectivity services provider in Nigeria
• We are looking for a dynamic Graphic Designer specialist who will create visual communications such as adverts, branding, publicity materials, and magazine layouts. And utilize graphic design skills to create media products such as magazines, labels, advertising, and signage
• To be successful as a retention specialist, you should have a persuasive attitude, excellent customer relationship skills, and a passion for sales. Ultimately, a top-class retention specialist should be able to improve sales by creating lasting bonds with customers.

Responsibilities

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, and select style and size of type.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations and logos.
• Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with the Human Resources Manager and making necessary changes.
• Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.
• Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for supervisors.
• Use computer software to generate new images and key information into computer equipment to create layouts for the Organization.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using a computer.
• Confer with the Human Resources Manager to discuss and determine layout design.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites.
• Confer with the Human Resources Manager to discuss and determine layout design.
• Mark up, paste and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Develop negatives and prints to produce layout photographs, using negative and print developing equipment and tools.
• Photograph layouts, using a camera, to make layout prints for supervisors.
• Produce still and animated graphics for on-air and taped portions of television news broadcasts, using electronic video equipment.

Requirements

• Must have a 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in Arts, or a related field.
• Entry level.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

• Alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of the theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and perform visual arts.
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work with less or no supervision
• High sense of arrangement and balancing for aesthetic
• Behavioral /Management Development Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Working understanding of design software e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw,3D Max, Powerpoint, Quarck Express (Minimum Qualification)
• Exemplary design and creative skills.
• Exemplary verbal and listening skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to think out of the box
• Hand drawing and hand-lettering skills are preferred.
• Print production experience will be an added advantage
• Web design experience preferred.
• Requires a general understanding of image rights and usage relative to print and online publication.
• Must know all about branding.
