Job Description

  • Ensure the development of pre-launch sales plans for all new products
  • Optimize the sales group and sales field force structure to support the emerging needs of the Business Franchises and Business Units and allocate resources in accordance with Country priorities
  • Manage sales-force motivation, working closely with local HR and local sales force leaders to articulate effectively the strategy for recording and improving sales processes
  • Drive Country top-line performance through effective coordination, training and allocation of Country field force resources and personnel
  • Working collaboratively with the Business Franchise and Business Unit heads, manage Country sales resource demands
  • Establish coherent and state-of-the art sales strategy and tactics for the country, taking into account competitive intelligence regarding sales practices, as well as lessons from broader organization
  • Ensure development and roll out of Sale Force Effectiveness tools
  • Build sales force capabilities across the Country, working with local and Regional markets to create a curriculum of training and development programs
  • Lead the field force team on all people management issues, including high-level selection, retention, and development processes
  • Key interfaces include: Commercial Head; Business Franchise Heads; Head of Marketing Operations; KAM Head; regional and global Sales leaders
  • Key teams include: Customer Board; Customer Sales Management Committee

Basic Job Requirements

  • 2nd Degree in relevant subject or Professional Qualification
  • MBA preferred English
  • Outstanding leadership ability, including ability to motivate associates with different backgrounds and skill levels
  • High degree of customer focus.
  • Outstanding sales acumen and business aptitude
  • Extensive sales and sales leadership experience (10-12 years), ideally garnered in local as well as international roles
  • Demonstrated success in Pharmaceutical sales-leadership roles
