Job Description

• We are currently seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance with fintech experience to join our team at Motopay.
• He/she will be responsible for managing the financial aspect of our e-commerce operations and overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities within the fintech sector.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing the financial strategy for our e-commerce operations.
• Leading the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, with a focus on the unique aspects of FinTech business models.
• Analyzing financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making in areas such as product development, pricing, and market expansion.
• Evaluating investment opportunities and conducting financial due diligence for potential partnerships or acquisitions within the fintech ecosystem.
• Overseeing the financial operations of the fintech company, including accounting, treasury, and financial systems. Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with industry-specific accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assessing and managing financial risks in the fintech industry, such as cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. Developing risk mitigation strategies and implementing robust internal controls to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Managing the company’s capital structure, including fundraising, venture capital investments, and debt financing.
• Staying updated with the evolving regulatory landscape in the fintech industry and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with legal and compliance teams to implement effective risk management and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Fintech E-commerce
• Experience in digital banking, loans, and savings.
• Strong understanding of fintech industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and driving business growth in a fintech company.
• Experience in fundraising and investor relations, including managing relationships with venture capital firms and other financial institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and identify areas for improvement in financial processes and systems.
