Job Position: Hotel Accountant
Job Location: Ikotun, Lagos

Job Description
- As a Hotel Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our hotel operations.
- You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain financial records, and implement effective financial controls.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Provide management with regular financial reports, budget variance analysis, and forecasting.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, monitor accounts payable, and manage vendor relationships.
- Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
Budgeting:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget.
- Work with department heads to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Internal Controls:
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard assets.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and submit required tax documentation in accordance with local regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Collaborate with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
