Job Position: HSEQ Officer
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Sunhive Limited is an electrical engineering firm with a focus on solar energy and energy efficiency. The company seeks a qualified candidate to proactively manage the HSEQ operations.

Responsibilities
Applicants should be able to provide evidence of being able to carry out the following job functions:

• Development of HSEQ policies, procedures and programs.
• Development of management systems.
• Implementation of management systems.
• Coordination of audits.
• Develop HSEQ plans for projects.
• Coordinate periodic SWOT analysis, updating of risk and opportunity log and general risk management at the different process levels.
• Ensure that the activity of the company complies with the applicable laws.
• Monitor, track and report HSEQ performance to management and staff periodically.
• Compile reports from on-site personnel.
• Induction of employees.
• Coordination of In-house training.
• Inspection and training of employees on the use of personal protective equipment.
• Coordination of Management review meetings.
• Inspection and evaluation of worksites and offices.
• Approval of risk assessments.
• Incident follow up and investigation.
• Serves as ISO Coordinator for the company.
• Ensure that the company is up to date with international best practices.
• Coordinate emergency response and drills.
• Ensure proper maintenance of emergency response equipment.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications.
• 2 - 4 years of work experience.
• Certifications in Occupational Safety, Health and Quality.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
• Working knowledge of relevant current legislation and practises.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Ability to carry out an audit and gather objective evidence.
• Excellent training skills.
