Job Position: Internal Auditor
Job Location: Maryland / Yaba Axis, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Description
- We are looking for a skilled Internal Auditor to conduct audits of internal processes, operations, and financial records.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auditing principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
- You will collaborate with management to recommend improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Execution: Plan and conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of stock records and financial records , and compliance with regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify areas of potential risk and develop audit plans to mitigate risks.
- Monitoring: Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented timely.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and conclusions based on audits conducted.
- Recommendations: Collaborate with management to implement recommendations for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to staff on internal control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing or external auditing with exposure to internal controls.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and audit software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attributes:Detail-oriented, ethical, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
