Interns needed at Textsworth Publishing Limited in Lagos

Textsworth Publishing Limited - We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented and dedicated individuals in various subject areas, who are eager to learn all aspects of  children's publishing company and to be part of a small and creative team. The chosen candidates will help out with the editorial, design and sales team. The desired time commitment is twenty hours a week; between 10am to 4pm each week day.



This internship does not offer any monetary compensation. Duration is for 3-months.

Position: Intern

Location: Lagos

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Design:
  • Assist designers with preliminary page set-up, font research, format selection and scanning of illustrators sketches. Assist designers with making of book dummies and mock-up for sales representatives and a variety of clerical and design duties. 
Sales:
  • Assist with sales reports, fulfilling request for sales materials, preparation of meetings. Creates sales sheets for sales catalog as well as content for website. Assist with social networking (FaceBook Twitter, Linkedln,)

Editorial:
  • Proofread manuscripts, page layouts, advances/sample copies. Assist with writing manuscripts; perform library and book store research as needed, and assist management with a variety of clerical and editorial duties.
