We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Electrical Shift In-charge

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Core Functional Experience


  • Electrical Maintenance: Extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, including MCC panels, power distribution panels, control circuits, and PLC systems.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency in working with EOT cranes, slipring motors, AC drives, field sensors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Expertise in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Problem Solving: Strong capability in diagnosing and rectifying electrical issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Standards: Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with ISO standards in an industrial setting.
  • Inventory Management: Experience in planning and managing critical spares and consumables for maintenance operations.

2.) Furnace Operator

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Furnace Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining industrial furnaces used in the production of steel and other metal products.
  • The role ensures efficient furnace operation, adherence to safety standards, and optimal output while minimizing downtime and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Furnace Operation & Monitoring:

  • Operate and monitor industrial furnaces to ensure efficient melting and refining of metals.
  • Adjust temperature controls and fuel supply to maintain optimal furnace performance.
  • Monitor process parameters and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality output.
  • Load raw materials into furnaces following prescribed procedures.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Identify and report potential hazards or operational issues.

Quality Control & Maintenance:

  • Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on furnace equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to prevent production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of furnace performance, material usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Work with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality control teams, and maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in shift handovers and ensure smooth operation across shifts.
  • Report production data and any anomalies to the relevant departments.

Requirements

  • HND qualification with 8 - 10 years of experience.

3.) Pulpit Operator

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Pulpit Operator is responsible for overseeing and controlling automated processes from the pulpit control room to ensure efficient and safe production in a steel or metal manufacturing environment. 
  • This role involves monitoring equipment, adjusting process parameters, and coordinating with production teams to maintain high-quality output and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Process Monitoring & Control:

  • Operate and monitor control panel systems to manage production processes.
  • Adjust parameters such as speed, temperature, and material flow to optimize operations.
  • Detect and respond to alarms, process deviations, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of different sections of the production line.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to company safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.

Quality Assurance & Production Efficiency:

  • Ensure that production meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to address defects or inconsistencies.
  • Minimize downtime by proactively addressing process inefficiencies.

Equipment Maintenance & Reporting:

  • Perform routine checks on control systems and report any anomalies.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, process parameters, and incidents.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
  • Provide detailed shift handover reports to ensure seamless production continuity.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on process advancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial operations is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pulpit operator or similar role in the steel or metal industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automated control systems, PLCs, and industrial process controls.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and quality procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and analytical skills.
