Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a Non-Profit and Non-governmental Organization in Nigeria which was registered as a corporate body with the Corporate Affairs Commission on the Eleventh (11th) day of July, 2014.

The foundation was formed by some eminent survivors of the Insurgency in North-east Nigeria and a few well-meaning Individuals who came together with a vision to see Nigeria a poverty-free place where peace will abide and humanity can live freely in harmony.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Admin & HR Officer

Job Locations: Adamawa, Borno and Yobe

Duty Description


  • The Admin & Human Resource Officer shall provide appropriate administrative and human resources (HR) support for the effective delivery of Admin and HR functions relating to this project.
  • Maintain the HR Data Base, regularly update employee information, maintain an accurate, timely employee filing system, advising Line Managers and staff on all HR matters, performance management, HR administration and employee relations in accordance with LPF administrative standards and with local laws and regulations to all staff and volunteers employed for the implementation of this project.
  • The role shall facilitate smooth movement of Personnel to and fro Maiduguri Field Office and Pulka office including processing and forwarding completed requests to necessary agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans, develop training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management staff disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Under the supervision the Operation/Program Manager she/he will executes administrative, legal-related tasks and payroll procedures ensuring that all data related to monthly salary calculation of employees of the project are correctly collected (days off, unpaid leaves, sick leaves, overtime, etc.).
  • Ensures that all staffs in the project are properly briefed and/or inducted.
  • Supports the bases with performance management, capacity building, disciplinary measures and other HR matters.
  • Conducts interviews and select applicants who meet the specified criteria for the position as per the recruitment process and in close coordination with the line managers.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, personal data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Guides and support managers and staffs on HR policies and procedures and monitor the implementation of the rules in line with the Internal Regulation and Labour Law.
  • Ensures hiring, carry out amendments and contract termination formalities for employees at project level, according to labor local laws, preparing all mandatory tax declarations in order to ensure legal compliance.
  • Assists the managers to draw up annual holiday planning and staff shifts in order to forecast HR needs and to ensure HR availability for the project activities.

Qualification

  • A minimum of HND or Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or any relevant Degree

Experience:

  • 3-year of working experience

2.) Logistics / Supply Chain Officer

Job Locations: Adamawa, Borno and Yobe

Duty Description

  • The Logistics / Supply Chain Officer works directly under the Procurement Manager and is responsible for the Receipt of Procured goods / Materials, Dispatch planning, evaluation and implementation, also ensures procurement-related activities on this project are conducted in line with NHF policies and LPF policies.
  • The Logistics / Supply Chain Officer Organizes transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
  • Coordinate and track the movement of goods through logistic pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Plan LPF’s warehouses and distribution centres for efficiency in both operations and capacity
  • Organize LPF’s transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
  • Coordinate and track LPF’s movement of goods through logistic pathways
  • Execute LPF’s logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
  • Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low
  • Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes
  • Maintain an overview of the logistics and admin/HR needs of all units
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring quality in logistics support.
  • As appropriate attend related forums on logistics and keep good relations with counterparts including suppliers on logistics management related issues.
  • Contribute to the budget and monitoring processes in liaison with the finance department and Manager to ensure that logistics needs are factored into planning realistically.
  • Ensure overall coordination and management of all logistics and procurement aspects of LPF; follows LPF logistics procedures as well as develop innovative procedures where applicable.
  • Ensures cost effectiveness and time-sensitivity across the supply chain and facilities management, including development of plans and priorities, follow up and measurement of progress.
  • Perform any other assign duty by supervisor or management.

Qualification

  • A minimum of HND or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Public / Business Administration or any relevant degree

Experience:

  • 2-3-year of working experience

3.) Protection Officer

Job Location: Borno

Duty Description

  • For the implementation of protection laws according to the humanitarian laws and rule of law in terms of dignity, safety and rights of people for the purpose of overcoming and preventing the exposure of people to psychological harm from situations of violence of crisis, the Protection Officer will provide the enabling environment for every activity to be carried out in the project by coordinating between Programme Team and beneficiaries, stakeholders and community leaders both in camps and host communities.
  • He organizes meetings, focus group discussions and house-to-house visits to ensure community participation and feedback responses from beneficiaries.
  • He ensures the safety and well-being of every beneficiary and see that all elements of AAP and "Do no Harm" Policy are maintained, including sustaining gender mainstreaming throughout the Project life cycle.

Job Description
Program Planning:

  • The Protection  Officer (PO) will oversee sensitization, recruitment and appropriate training of Community-Based Resource Persons to enhance the promotion of behavioral change of target households in the Project.
  • Coordinating on-ground activities which includes training and capacity building, outreaches and media efforts.
  • Contribute to information-sharing and data management systems.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports, on time and with accurate data.
  • The PO will also train Community Based Resource Persons (CBRP) on multisectoral inclusion and maintain proper documentation on the database.
  • The PO will continuously support the Field Support Staff to meet the project deliverables which includes training, building confidence of beneficiaries, identifying, planning and facilitating resolutions of complaints received through the CRM desk.
  • Maintain flexibility to take on added responsibilities as and when needed.

Stakeholders’ Management:

  • Work with existing stakeholders, identify other key stakeholders on areas of thematic importance
  • Mobilize and organize for advocacies at the community level
  • Identify and work with Influencers on WASH intervention and related policies as well as community participation to ensure sustainability.

Qualification

  • A minimum of HND or Bachelor Degree in Sociology or any relevant degree

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-year of working experience
