We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Stocks and Requisition Account Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Purpose of the Role


  • The Stocks and Requisition Account Officer will be responsible for the effective management, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory and requisition processes across the restaurant and specialty coffee business.
  • This role ensures accurate stock control, cost optimization, vendor management, and compliance with internal financial and operational standards.
  • The ideal candidate is an Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in inventory, stock, requisition, and vendor management within the F&B or high-end restaurant/café industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of raw materials, beverages, consumables, and finished goods across all outlets and central store.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly stock movements and investigate variances between actual and system stock balances.
  • Oversee and coordinate physical stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Implement controls to prevent stock pilferage, wastage, and mismanagement, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and enforce stock rotation policies (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize losses.
  • Review and approve requisition requests in line with operational and budgetary requirements.
  • Track requisition flows from initiation to fulfillment and ensure proper authorization processes are followed.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure value-for-money procurement.
  • Reconcile stock ledgers with the general ledger and ensure accurate reflection in financial statements.
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and analyze variances between actual and standard costs.
  • Generate and present stock and requisition reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to Finance and Management.
  • Provide accurate stock records and reconciliations to support audits and compliance checks.
  • Supervise and manage stock/requisition accounting systems, ERP platforms, and POS back-end integration.
  • Train and coach junior staff on stock, requisition, and vendor management processes.
  • Continuously review and improve stock and requisition systems to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of stock records vs. physical counts.
  • Timeliness and completeness of stock, requisition, and vendor reports.
  • Reduced stock variances, shrinkage, and wastage.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in stock, requisition, inventory accounting, and vendor management within the Food & Beverage sector or large high-end restaurants/cafés.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B costing, recipe costing, and COGS analysis.
  • Proven ability to set up and manage stock, requisition, and vendor control systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP software and advanced MS Excel skills.

2.) Procurement Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

  • The Procurement Officer will provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of all procurement, supply chain, and vendor management activities across Mai Shayi Coffee Roasters Limited.
  • The role is central to ensuring that every branded product, raw material, and operational item aligns with the company’s premium quality standards.
  • The successful candidate must bring a minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in procurement within high-end restaurants or the hospitality industry, with proven expertise in cost optimization, supplier performance management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives, hospitality industry benchmarks, and sustainability goals.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and standards for transparent, efficient, and cost-effective procurement operations.
  • Lead procurement planning cycles, aligning forecasts with restaurant operations, seasonal demands, and promotional activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet the company’s quality, ethical, and financial standards.
  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with local and international suppliers.

  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, ISM, or equivalent are desirable.

3.) Grounds and Facilities Officer

Job Location: Abuja

Job Purpose

  • The Grounds and Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality all of the company’s outdoor and structural facilities.
  • The role involves maintaining grounds, conducting minor repairs, monitoring generators and fuel, checking electrical appliances such as air conditioning systems, supporting gate and parking operations, and assisting with events.
  • The officer ensures that the environment is well-maintained, safe, and presents a positive impression to staff, guests, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
Grounds and Outdoor Cleaning:

  • Empty and clean outdoor trash bins while ensuring waste segregation.
  • Remove debris from outdoor drains to prevent blockages and flooding.
  • Ensure outdoor areas (signage, lamps, fixtures) are cleaned and maintained regularly.

Property Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Conduct daily checks on lighting, plumbing, gates, fences, and electrical appliances (e.g., fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, water dispensers).
  • Carry out minor repairs such as replacing bulbs, tightening screws, and patching small defects.
  • Record maintenance activities in the logbook and escalate major issues (e.g., leaks, electrical faults, AC malfunctions, structural damage).
  • Perform weekly inspections and basic servicing of equipment, tools, and drainage systems.
  • Monitor air conditioning systems for performance issues, unusual noises, leaks, or temperature irregularities and report promptly.

Generator Monitoring and Fuel Management:

  • Inspect generator diesel levels daily and ensure a minimum of 100 liters is available at all times.
  • Record fuel levels and generator condition in the logbook.
  • Conduct test runs and basic servicing checks weekly.
  • Report abnormalities (leaks, unusual noises, low fuel) immediately.

Electrical Appliances & AC System Support:

  • Carry out routine checks on electrical appliances including air conditioners, water dispensers, refrigerators, fans, and lighting systems.
  • Clean AC filters regularly and ensure timely servicing by specialists when required.
  • Detect and report faults (e.g., overheating, wiring issues, reduced cooling efficiency).
  • Switch off electrical appliances not in use to save energy and prevent hazards.

Gate and Parking Operations:

  • Monitor vehicle movements and guide visitors to designated parking areas when required.
  • Ensure driveways and access points remain clear at all times.
  • Support security personnel with vehicle management when required.

Event and Special Duty Support:

  • Assist in setting up outdoor spaces for events, including tents, chairs, and decorations.
  • Clear and restore areas after events.
  • Provide logistical support to staff and guests during special functions.

Safety and Hygiene Compliance:

  • Consistently wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report hazards immediately (e.g., oil spills, broken fences, loose wires, faulty AC units).
  • Use safety signage when cleaning or working in risky areas.
  • Ensure safe storage of tools, fuel, and chemicals after use.

Waste Management:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of OND.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or facility support roles.
  • Vocational training in facility maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or related field (mandatory).
  • Experience in basic electrical systems and air conditioning maintenance is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and general repairs.

Position Overview

  • The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of Mai Shayi Coffee’s operations.
  • As a Chartered Accountant (ICAN certified), the role requires a high level of accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements, and proactive financial management.
  • The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts, payroll, audits, asset management, tax compliance, and financial reporting while contributing to strategic cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping:

  • Receive, verify, and record all bills, invoices, and receipts.
  • Ensure timely entry of bills and expenses into the books of accounts.
  • Prepare approval notes for payment authorizations.
  • Maintain accurate journal entries, vouchers, and general ledger records.
  • Handle cash payments, issue and dispatch cheques, and oversee bank payments.
