We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Software Engineering Manager


Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  • We are looking for engineering leaders to help us with our mission by leading and growing our Global-based engineering team. Our team is responsible for enabling mDoc’s growth and adaptability through building independent services with tightly scoped, domain-appropriate responsibilities. We implement new features to be robust and scalable, supporting efforts toward platform extensibility and interoperability while helping our health coaches drive successful health outcomes for our program participants.
  • In this role, you will be not just a manager; you will also be team lead, contributing code alongside the people you hire. (The expectation is that you will write code about 50% of the time.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of mDoc’s digital health platform
  • You will create a plan to continue building and scaling our platform one piece at a time, supporting our ability to deliver a personalized experience to program participants and empower our health coaches to deliver timely and effective interventions.
  • You will lead a team of software engineers to execute against that plan, owning the team’s technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Grow and manage a high-performance Engineering team
  • You will partner with our Recruiting team to hire the best talent.
  • You will mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members.
  • You will establish the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in critical areas, including SLA management, systems reliability, and developer productivity.
  • You will establish and own key performance metrics in close collaboration with Engineering and Product leadership.
  • You’ll build cross-functional relationships with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and technical program managers to understand stakeholder needs, and deliver on those needs.
  • Drive pan-engineering initiatives as an Engineering leader
  • You will work with the Engineering Leadership team to develop new initiatives and improve existing processes across the entire engineering organization, including data quality and system observability.
  • You’ll work with Engineering and Product Leadership to continuously reduce technical debt and make improvements in our systems.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or more in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
  • A track record of projects completed on time – you are a flawless executor, not a procrastinator.
  • You find satisfaction in a job well done and want to solve head-scratching challenges.
  • Strong awareness of the various technologies and tools used in building and maintaining a service-oriented architecture
  • Communication and leadership skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively
  • Solid project management skills
  • Solid understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals
  • Motivation to participate in ongoing learning and growth through pair programming, test-driven development, code reviews, and application of new technologies and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, intellectual curiosity, positive attitude, and a desire to influence the products being built
  • Love of mentorship and experience developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and feedback
  • Solid skills with application frameworks such as Node.JS, React, CI/CD, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience deploying machine learning models is a plus.

2.) IT Support Specialist

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. This role will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Set up and configure new employee workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and maintain our Google Cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Assist with the deployment and management of software applications and updates.
  • Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce acceptable use policies for IT resources.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience developing and enforcing acceptable use policies.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including administration, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing exceptional service and support.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Google Cloud) are a plus.

3.) Clinic Practice Manager

Job Summary

  • mDoc is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinic Practice Manager to oversee our tech-enabled health hubs.
  • This individual will drive all aspects of operations, including revenue generation, patient health outcomes, team management, and clinic efficiency.
  • The ideal candidate has a background in healthcare operations, excels in a dynamic environment, and has a passion for improving primary care access especially virtually.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations across all health hubs, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve operational workflows, leveraging technology to optimize processes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, maintaining a high standard of care and patient safety.

Financial & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue generation and profitability for each hub.
  • Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and analyze financial data to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency.

Patient Health Outcomes & Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care and health outcomes.
  • Implement and track quality improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to measure success.
  • Address patient feedback and maintain high patient satisfaction scores.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage clinic staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field (Master’s in Business Administration preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic management, or practice administration.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in revenue generation and budgeting.
  • Proven track record in managing tech-enabled healthcare operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
