We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Visual Merchandizer
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Role
- You will be responsible for promoting the image, product and service of MISKAY. You will create windows and in-store displays of goods for MISKAY.
- The goal is to use visual merchandising to convert window shoppers into MISKAY customers, drive branding to have sales targets met and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy that aligns with the brand's image and target market, including seasonal trends, color coordination, and product placement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into visual merchandising plans, with a particular eye for fashion and clothing trends.
- Be creative and innovative in developing new visual merchandising concepts, such as using unexpected materials or creating interactive displays that showcase the latest fashion trends.
- Work with suppliers to source materials and merchandise for displays, with a focus on fashion-forward pieces and trends.
- Manage the budget for visual merchandising and track costs and expenses, ensuring that displays are well-maintained and reflect the latest trends.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to ensure that visual merchandising supports the overall business goals, such as promoting new collections or seasonal trends.
- Have a strong understanding of retail operations and how visual merchandising can impact sales, with a focus on clothing and fashion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Fashion or any related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a top fashion retail store as a merchandiser.
- A passion for fashion and a keen understanding of style trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
2.) Human Resource Manager
Job Location: Lagos
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Role
- Consistently recruiting excellent staff.
- Maintaining a smooth onboarding process.
- Training, counseling, and coaching our staff.
- Resolving conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
- Carrying out necessary administrative duties.
- Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
- Handling workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
- Conducting performance and wage reviews.
- Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
- Creating clear and concise reports.
- Giving helpful and engaging presentations.
- Maintaining employee and workplace privacy.
- Leading a team of junior human resource managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Experience in human resources or related field.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Experience in educating and coaching staff.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
- Ability to give presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
3.) Junior Fashion Designer
Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Role
- Collaborating with the design team to create sketches that resonate with the Nigerian market.
- Developing clothing patterns suitable for mass production with an understanding of local preferences.
- Communicating technical design information effectively for customer samples.
- Contributing to the design of clothing tailored for Nigerian seasons and occasions.
- Selecting fabrics and trims that align with the latest trends in the Nigerian fashion scene.
- Testing and selecting fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures that appeal to the diverse Nigerian consumer base.
- Overseeing the production process, ensuring designs are culturally relevant and conducting fittings accordingly.
- Nurturing strong relationships with local vendors and suppliers.
- Working collaboratively with the design team to create mood boards and product lists inspired by Nigerian influences.
Requirements
- Diploma in Fashion and Designing (knowledge in local textiles is an added advantage).
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications.
- Ability to create hand sketches that resonate with the Nigerian aesthetic.
- Outstanding design and conceptual skills.
- Excellent sense of style and color, with an understanding of local fashion trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, considering the cultural diversity of Nigeria.
- Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of local garment technology and preferences.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a dynamic and evolving market.
