1.) Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Brief Job Description and Purpose of Role


  • As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the Steel Melting Shop, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all electrical maintenance operations during your shift.
  • You will ensure the smooth functioning of equipment and minimize downtime due to electrical breakdowns, contributing to uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot MCC panels and power distribution panels.
  • Ensure the integrity and functionality of cable routes, trenches, and cable dressing.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot bundling machine, including PLC, control panel, and field devices.
  • Ensure functionality and resolve issues in the scrap shear machine, including electrical components and motors.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain drives, micro-PLCs, and field sensors of pollution systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic pokers, panels at the control room/melting floor, and melting furnace auxiliary systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify PLC issues of the continuous caster and related machines.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all equipment.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and ISO compliance formats.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance.
  • Academic Qualification: HND / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.

Core Functional Experience:

  • Extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, including MCC panels, power distribution panels, control circuits, and PLC systems.
  • Proficiency in working with EOT cranes, slipring motors, AC drives, field sensors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Strong capability in diagnosing and rectifying electrical issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with ISO standards in an industrial setting.
  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Salary
N350,000 - N550,000 monthly.

2.) Electrical and Automation Engineer

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description and Purpose of Role

  • As the Electrical & Automation Engineer, you will oversee electrical and automation systems during assigned shifts to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
  • You will coordinate maintenance activities and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance in a steel manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Academic Qualification: HND / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.

Core Functional Experience:

  • Electrical Maintenance
  • Automation Systems (PLCs, SCADA, and HMI)
  • System Integration with Operational Processes
  • Safety Compliance in Electrical Activities
  • Preventive Maintenance Programs
  • Troubleshooting Electrical and Automation Issues
  • Certification: Certification in automation systems or advanced electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of electrical technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance system reliability and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation problems, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of equipment malfunctions to reduce production interruptions.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance departments to schedule maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, and minimize disruption to operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, analyzing data and implementing improvements to optimize equipment reliability, energy consumption, and overall production efficiency.

Salary
N350,000 - N550,000 per month.

3.) Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Brief Job Description and Purpose of Role

  • As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in our steel manufacturing plant. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of mechanical equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for steel manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed mechanical systems and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit regular maintenance reports to the Head of SMS.
  • Lead and coordinate with the maintenance team for any ongoing, breakdown, or shutdown jobs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Academic Qualification: HND / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic power packs and associated systems.
  • Development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues.
  • Core Functional Experience:
  • Maintenance and operation of induction melting furnaces.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of electric overhead travelling (EOT) cranes.
  • Experience in designing and implementing mechanical systems and machinery for industrial processes.
  • Certification: Occupational Safety & Health Administration Certification.

Salary
N350,000 - N550,000 monthly.
