Established in August 2011, SHIN has a fabrication and integration yard in Lagos.This facility is notable as Africa's first-ever and only Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) integration yard.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Location: Ladol, Lagos

About the Role


  • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Maintenance team.
  • In this critical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy-duty equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment including Cranes, Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Trucks, Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT), Reach Stacker, and Excavators.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Engines, and basic electrical systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and oversight on maintenance tasks.
  • Undertake and successfully complete sensitive and critical repair jobs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements

  • Trade test, OND, HND, or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Must be between 35 to 45 years old.
  • Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and solving hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine problems.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to compliance.

  • We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, performing structural analysis, and ensuring compliance with safety standards within the fabrication industry.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our production and fabrication teams.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Perform structural weight calculations and material take-off (MTO).
  • Conduct structural analysis and simulation using CAD/CAE software.
  • Support production and fabrication teams with technical drawings.
  • Verify structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare reports, design reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in structural design in the fabrication industry.

3.) Technical Proposal Manager (Offshore Marine Engineering / Logistics Industry Experience)

Job Location: Ladol, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Function Within Department

  • Leading the development of high-quality technical proposals and supporting the General manager (Commercial & Proposals) in preparing comprehensive commercial submissions. This role ensures that all proposals are aligned with client requirements, industry standards, and the company's technical and operational capabilities - contributing directly to successful contract acquisition and strategic positioning.
  • In addition to proposal development, the Technical Proposal Manager collaborates closely with the project manager and construction team during the bidding stage to integrate accurate technical inputs, execution, strategies and resource planning.
  • During project execution, the role extends to monitoring technical performance to ensure alignment with contractual scope and specifications. Upon project completion, the Technical Proposal Manager is responsible for capturing lessons learned to ensure future proposal strategies and execution planning.

Job Description

  • Invitation to tender (ITT) review and technical clarification with the clients.
  • Define the materials required for the project and prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs)
  • Define the activities required for subcontracting and prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs)
  • Preparation (or validation) of MTO
  • Technical bid evaluation
  • Prepare technical proposal (i.e. project execution plan, schedule and etc)
  • Coordinate with project, construction and engineering teams during bidding.
  • Support General manager (Commercial & Proposal) in bid strategy and pricing.
  • Monitor technical execution to ensure alignment with scope and contract.
  • Capture lesson learned after project completion for future improvement.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree is an advantage)
  • 7+ years in proposals or project engineering in offshore/marine/logistics sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of fabrication and ship repair
  • Good knowledge of industry standards
  • Proficiency in MS office and proposal tool (AutoCAD is a must)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

4.) Maintenance Officer / Admin

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Documentation: Updating maintenance documents such as staff attendance (annual or sick leave) on proprietary application, gas usage records, inventory and materials usage log, etc. for the Utility and maintenance unit. Collating material consumables list and draft complete approval requests for maintenance material purchases.
  • Health and safety: Coordinating site staff PPE issuance and colle3ction wehn needed. Develop job safety analysis for simple tasks.
  • Follow up with site staff regarding PPE disbursed to ensure that damaged PPEs are replaced timely.
  • Relating with vendors and other departments within the organisation through face-to face interactions and official emails.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering or it equivalent. Additional relevant certifications will be a plus with 3-5 years of working experience
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Competent in data entry with minimal errors, record and file management, good verbal and written communication.
