We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Electrician

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Cell Manager 

Job Summary


  • Electrician ensures the reduction of breakdown on SMD and FRMD machines and achieve maximum availability and OEE through effective provision of electrical support to all SMD production equipment in line with best practices, at an effective cost, in a hygienic and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to production machines in SMD and FRD.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and efficiency through prompt attendance to electrical issues on the machine
  • Provide in-house training to electro technical staff when the need arises to improve technical skill.
  • Ensures month on month reduction in electrical downtime in the Cell
  • Implementation of downtime analysis of SMD machines in the Cell
  • Implement EHS audit recommendations and ensure all guards are intact and working.
  • Attend to technical call out request from SMD Cell Managers.
  • Ensure electrical issues are resolved and captured daily
  • Ensure all checks and reports are up to date
  • Ensure faults are fix as soon as it happened

Requirements
What are we looking for?:

  • A minimun of HND  or BSC in electrical and electronics  with minimum of  upper credit and second class is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience 
  • A knowledge of GD121, AF 12, X2., X3 , XW  electronic and electrical system will be an added advantage. 
  • Good knowledge of IWS is required
  • Strong problem-solving Skill
  • Technical mastery in production area.

2.) Packing Technician

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Contract Type: Permanent
Career Level: Non-management
Function: Operations

Job Description

  • The packing technicians will service, maintain and attend to breakdowns of production / Packing equipment as well as carrying out training for operators and technicians on all Packing machine on SMD floor.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all Packing machine on the floor runs optimally consistently all the time.
  • Assist in resolving major breakdowns on packing machine that is in production.
  • Assist in packing machine installation/projects Compelling Business Need.
  • Ensure that the product quality is within set target and that Leaf and WM waste is under control.
  • Attend to all NPI’s related to packer across the shop floor and lead the technical aspect of initiatives.
  • Lead all packer training and assessment for both operators and technician and also involved in the technical coaching & development of packer technicians.

Requirements

  • A minimum of HND or B.Sc Degree in engineering or relevant is required. 
  • At least 5 years of “hands on” experience in a production environment.
  • The technician should good knowledge of AM 14, S90, X2, X3, and XW machine.
  • A high degree of interpersonal skill will be required to establish credentials and to pass on knowledge and experience to newer team members.
  • Good and strong communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical training, fault finding, and maintenance techniques.

3.) Electrical Specialist

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Contract Type: Permanent
Career Level: Non-management
Function: Operations

Job Description

  • The electrical Specialist will ensure the prevention of breakdown on SMD machines and achieve maximum availability and efficiency through effective maintenance and provision of electrical support to all SMD production machineries in line with best practices, at minimal cost, and ensuring all safety measures are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house training to electro technical staff when the need arises in order to raise the technical skill level.
  • Provide technical support to production machines in SMD and other BAT Factories.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and efficiency through effective electrical maintenance.
  • Ensures spares are planned and ready for use according to machine planned and preventative electro technical maintenance schedules.
  • Implementation of downtime analysis of SMD machines and uses information to improve maintenance.
  • Implement SMD machines weekly cleaning and monthly electro technical maintenance.
  • Ensure documentation of weekly cleaning and monthly electro technical maintenance carried out on SMD machines.
  • Prepare for and present the learning and development solutions that addresses identified learning needs of individuals or group.
  • Lead and attend to all Projects and NPI from electrical areas and deliver all electrical section of initiatives.

Requirements

  • HND or B.Sc in electrical and electronical engineering required.
  • At least 4 years of “hands on” experience of running these machines in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of cigarette making, packing machinery (nice to have).
  • Experience working with PLC - mandatory.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize a team and team-spirited.
  • Experience in Siemens and electrical programs.
