Job Position: Software Engineer
Job Locations: Ibadan, Oyo and Lagos

About the Role


  • We are looking for a Software Engineer based in Nigeria with a focus on the backend and frontend to join the team of developers and support in building custom solutions to provide financial services to Gig Workers in Africa.
  • You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development lifecycle.
  • As a full-stack engineer in this role, you should be highly experienced in building web-based systems with a keen focus on the backend and adherence to industry best standards.
  • You should be comfortable with backend development technologies as well as the frontend stack.
  • You would also be a customer-centric and team player.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with development teams, product managers to plan & prioritize, architecture, build, advance, and scale software solutions
  • Participate in strategic technical decisions related to technology, definition, and implementation of digital products
  • Deliver high quality, testable, secure, readable, and documented software with a focus on the customer
  • Develop system architecture, requirements specifications, modularize features, etc
  • Advocate, advise and develop best industry standards such as CI/CD, Agile, responsive design, containerization, TDD, peer reviews, etc
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Write documentation and provide technical training.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of working experience handling multidisciplinary complex systems
  • Solid experience in backend technologies such as Java, Javascript, or other scripting languages
  • Experience with Java Spring framework
  • Working experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker & Kubernetes is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD and code versioning tools.

Job Position: Customer Service & Activations Officer
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

About the Role

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service & Activations Officer based in Nigeria to enhance our customer experiences.
  • You will be tracking all points of customer engagement, addressing customer queries, and identifying ways to improve our customer services.
  • You would also be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle existing and prospective customers’ inquiries, requests and complaints via phone calls, emails, live chat and across all social media platforms.
  • Contribute to revenue generation through renewal calls & emails, up-selling & cross-selling to new & old customers.
  • Provide detailed information of company’s services to new & old customers for easy on-boarding & to assist in their decision-making process 
  • Provide first contact resolution to customer complaints within stipulated time limit and escalate difficult issues to respective unit for prompt resolution 
  • Build and nurture positive relationships and trust with customers through open interactive communication 
  • Collate customer feedback on products and services through surveys, calls, and emails, and analyze information gotten to serve them better 
  • Identify risks on long-term customer retention and employ strategies to remove hurdles to improve customers’ experience and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all client’s interactions 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of product and service changes
  • Campaign idea generation and management 
  • Deliver superior customer services, foster strong rapport, retention and satisfaction.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitor activities, and make recommendations to supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant discipline.  
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in customer support/telesales
  • Experience in startups or start-up development activities is a plus.
  • Experience in E-commerce and Fintech is a plus.

Job Position: Collections Officer

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

About the Role

  • We are looking for a bold and conscientious Collections Officer based in Nigeria.
  • You will be contacting defaulters on loans and working with them to develop plans to pay those debts back, and identifying ways to improve our collections services.
  • You would also be a team player.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Appraising credit customers applications..
  • Reconciling payment and managing multiple repaying channels
  • Liaising with customers as well as internal personnel on account balance management.
  • Day to day running of credit collections and recovery 
  • Managing delinquent loans and defaulters 
  • Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all client’s interactions 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of product and service changes
  • Campaign idea generation and management 
  • Deliver superior customer services, foster strong rapport, retention and satisfaction.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on collections and make recommendations to supervisor.

Requirements

  • Degree in a Business related discipline.  
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience as accounts receivable,  and/ or a credit control environment preferably a fintech or bank.
  • Experience in startups or start up development activities is a plus.
  • Experience in E-commerce and Fintech is a plus.
