Education and Experience

2.) Operations Transformation Consultant
Job Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Purpose of Role
- This position is a contract position – expected to last for 6 months, with the hope that it will be extended.
- The role supports management in determining and embedding processes and controls to support the business transition through its journey to an optimized operating model. The Operations Transformation Consultant will be responsible for the identification and delivery of improvement projects across 3 departments: Warehouse, Logistics and Production.
- The position requires someone who has experience with process consulting, making recommendations and executing transformation. It is a hands-on analysis and execution role.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and productivity in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
- Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement streamlined and standardised procedures across the operations division.
- Collaborate with various departments including IT, Procurement, Sales, Quality control to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure seamless operations.
- Develop strategic roadmaps to help improve efficiencies and create consistency that lead to business optimization and exceptional performance.
- Apply lean methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce defects, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Provide training, mentorship, and coaching to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and compliance.
- Manage the successful rollout of transformation solutions within the assigned departments.

Job Location: Mushin, Lagos

Purpose of Role
- The Warehouse Manager works to optimize warehouse operations, ensure high customer fulfilment rates and on-time delivery.
- The role is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling of warehousing in an efficient, quality controlled and cost-effective manner.

As the Warehouse Manager, You will
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive warehouse strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, including order fulfilment and efficient alignment with logistics.
- Inventory Management: Implement inventory control strategies to balance stock levels, increase turn over, reduce carrying costs, and minimize obsolete inventory situations.
- Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with sales and procurement teams to create and maintain accurate forecasts, which are essential for efficient inventory and logistics planning.
- Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the efficient and timely distribution of orders to customers, optimizing transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment processes. Determine the best logistics and 3PL vendors for road, air deliveries.
- Quality Control: Improve quality control across the supply chain in collaboration with the quality control team.
- Stakeholder Management: Working closely with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth operations and internal customer satisfaction.
- Technology and Systems: Utilize the ERP and data tools to streamline processes, improve collaboration, and enhance decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, coaching, training and performance evaluations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and implement best practices to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generate regular reports and key performance indicators to measure the performance of the supply chain and make data-driven decisions.
- Cataloguing and Space Management: Lead optimum utilization of the warehouse space; Ensure storage and handling of all materials and finished goods adheres to standard palletizing, stacking and storage requirements.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain, monitor expenses, and implement strategies to reduce operating costs while maintaining quality.
- Compliance: Be accountable for warehouse compliance requirements (warehouse stock cycle counts), meet and/or exceed Safety and quality requirements and drive ownership among team members.
Must-Have for the Position
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously through excellent project and time management skills.
- Proven experience (5-7 years) in supply chain or warehouse management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Relevant professional certifications.
