We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Brand Manager
Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Role
- Responsible for the initiation, planning, implementation, control and co-ordination of the Equity driving and Market Share-gaining programs designed to sustain the assigned Brand as a veritable asset delivering outstanding value to all consumers and stake holders, aligned to Portfolio Strategy.
- Conceptualize and co-ordinate the implementation of brand communication sponsorship and events plans and strategies that will enhance the Equity Scores, Sales Performance and Profitability of the brand in line with Company’s overall profit and portfolio objectives.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Brand Strategy definition.
- Initiate annual Brand marketing review and plans for the Brand with detailed information on Brand marketing objectives in accordance with overall Brand strategy.
- Define Brand Communication Strategy in accordance to Plan and Brand Positioning, selecting the most efficient media mix in alignment with the Category Marketing Manager.
- To prepare Agency briefs and subsequent evaluation and assessment of subsequent Agency creative proposals.
- Creation and exploitation of brand sponsorship platform where applicable, to enhance selected brand health indicators.
- Identification of and association with relevant external events/initiatives that will add value to brand equity.
- Monitoring related platforms especially those in use by competition.
- Lead development of advertising materials/creative proposals in each stage before final approval by the Chief Marketing Officer.
- Propose and test any changes in advertising strategy.
- Work collaboratively with Trade Marketing Team to ensure effective Sales Driver deployment of the Brand in all categories of outlets, driving ultimately Equity.
- Monitor competitive strategies, advertising and positioning platforms with a view to constantly ensuring continued alignment to Brand positioning.
- Report periodically, giving information on all activities undertaken by the Brand and competitive brands.
- Keep the Brand’s profitability under constant review and to draw early attention to any deviations from estimated profits as a result of sales variations or changes in costs.
- Prepare an annual advertising budget for the Brands for the approval of the Chief Marketing Officer.
- Monitor and analyze official and unofficial trade margins of competing brands, make appropriate proposals and execute accordingly.
- Ensure that all marketing considerations are considered in making volume projections for the Brand.
- Monitor advertising budget ensuring adherence in line with approved plans.
- Carry out regular budget-control monitoring exercises to avert over-expenditure.
- Support the development of the yearly Media Brief for the Agency giving guidance regarding advertising budget appropriation by media
- Support the monitoring of all outdoor hoardings and posters for the Brand and ensure these are in good condition and strategically located.
- Propose and execute promotions plans and schemes, in alignment with Trade Marketing Team, after approval by the Chief Marketing Officer.
- Monitor the effectiveness of all promotional activities, propose relevant modifications and prepare post-promotion reports with appropriate proposals and recommendations.
Qualifications and Competencies Required
- Degree Educated in Marketing or related courses; an MBA will be an advantage
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Thorough and creative problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and written presentation skills
- Must be able to manage multiple initiatives with strong execution. orientation and proper project management abilities
- Previous brand marketing experience in an FMCG.
- Strong business acumen with appreciation for commerciality
- Solid analytical and influencing skills.
Key Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience within Brand Marketing (FMCG preferred).

- Sound understanding and experience in creative/production processes, design and implementation, research and NPD.
- A good understanding of advertising agencies and the ability to plan, measure and execute marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Strong understanding of product marketing and good experience in managing the marketing of a product and liaising within teams and external agencies ATL/BTL.
2.) Commercial Finance Manager
Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

About The Role
- This role is responsible to provide business partnering to the Commercial/Sales team in driving business performance and give decision support.
- Identifying KPIs that help business to understand actual performance, hold the business to account for performance, and making decisions support that are effective, strategically aligned, and value-maximizing even when you’re not the final decision-maker.
- As part of an experience and dynamic Finance team, you will interact with various stakeholders including marketing, Shopper Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain to exchange strategy and financial information.
- You will be required to analyze and project the company’s Net Revenue and analyze variance between actual sales vs plan in terms of volume and value.
Key Accountabilities
- The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for all financial matters for the sales team in the business. He/ she is closely integrated in the day-to-day operations and the “go-to” person for all financial matters relating to this business. The ideal candidate must be an ambitious, analytical and a highly commercial individual, who has the drive to lead and influence the business.
Key elements of the position are:
- Revenue management and planning for distributor business and ensure timely decisions and corrective actions to address opportunities & risks.
- Evaluation and Monitoring of Trade Discount Incentive proposals/programs to drive promotional effectiveness/profitability.
- Strategic investment decision support to the Sales team in assessment of new customers/ business opportunities, new RTM/ business model analysis etc.
- Provision of robust analysis and insight into pack profitability and portfolio management and preparation of value chain analysis for existing and potential products.
- Distributor financial scorecard tracking and review to support on-going customer performance assessment and appropriate compensation and incentive design.
- Review and processing of Payment for Target-Based Trade Discount Incentive Programs and Support and Trade spend efficiency evaluation to ensure optimal investment decision making
- Support the Sales Team to ensure that their strategies lead to Net Sales Revenue and GP growth through the business planning and forecasting processes.
- Provide analytical support in evaluation of all Commercial initiatives in terms of product launches, pricing promotional activities and direct marketing expenditure.
- Support to drive initiatives in order improve Gross Profit (Pricing, Promo optimization, Mix optimization, Product profitability).
- Prepare in-depth & insightful financial analysis and decision support to the sales and category team including identification of opportunities and risks with commentaries/analytics.
- Ensure the business complies with the executed Commercial policy which includes credit management policies, debts collection policy, product returns policy etc.
- Implement appropriate spending and budgetary controls for ASP expenditures and review spending requests and manage banking relationship for the business on behalf of the distributors
- Responsible for all financial matter: with focus on sales controlling and commercial activities and decision support, including preparing ad-hoc financial models.
- Transfer finance knowledge to sales teams, coach and improve financial acumen of sales management team and other finance teams as it relates to sales controlling.
Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or other related courses.
- 4+ years of related commercial finance and financial planning and analysis experience with increasing responsibility and control
- Qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently – specifically on commercial projects – and lead key initiatives and in a fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as a team player in a cross-functional / group environment
- Create robust financial business case models, and as a result of analysis formulate findings and providing a founded point of view for decision making support to the leadership team
- Proficient in NAVISION, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Strong management accounting knowledge, analytical skills, problem solving skills, good understanding of systems, processes and work-flows, combined with business acumen
- Properly managing workload, timelines and deliverables, and expectations in a highly entrepreneurial business environment – high-growth, fast-paced, performance-driven
- Experience dealing within FMCG or in the retail sector is highly desirable.

3.) Financial Accountant
Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
About The Role
Inventory:
- Preparation daily stock status report highlighting variances and their explanations.
- Management of monthly and year end stock taking including reconciliations and passing stock adjustments.
- Monitoring and providing logistics with outlets with low and stock out warehouse locations.
- Preparation of Monthly and year-end Inventory Schedules reconciled to general ledger accounts.
- Providing explanation to both internal and external auditors on inventory related queries.
Fixed Asset:
- Creation of capex for approval and adequate documentation of PPE records.
- Ensuring purchased PPE are recognized in line with company policies and financial reporting framework.
- Preparation Capex/budget variance report.
- Computation of monthly depreciation of PPE and posting to the relevant ledger accounts.
- Preparation of PPE Schedule reconciled to the general ledger account.
- Ensuring all company assets are tagged for verification purposes.
Insurance:
- Monthly review of insurance cover and providing information on additional cover.
- Monthly recognition of insurance expense for financial reporting purpose.
- Ensuring adequate records are kept on insurance covers for audit purpose.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Financial Controller.
- Ensure data is used or processed for the purpose set for such data and ensure absolute confidentialitywhile processing or using personal data. Get the consent of the data subject before collecting, processing, and using data.
Education / Experience & Other Requirements
- Minimum of BSc in Finance / Accounting or any other related discipline.
- 3-5years of experience in similar role from any FMCG environment
- Relevant Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) is required.
- Good knowledge of IFRS, Inventory and PPE management.
- Good data gathering, analysis, organizational and problem-solving skills.
