We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Junior Accountant
Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join our finance team.
• The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions and maintaining ledgers.
• Support monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Prepare and organize supporting documents for audits and compliance checks.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Perform any assigned duties to support the finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minimum of 2:1).
• 0 - 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance (not more than 3 years experience).
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Student membership/professional certifications with ICAN, ACCA, or CFI are an added advantage, but not mandatory.
