SimpleMarket Inc. (BetaStore.Co) - African food supply chain is complex and inefficient. There are more than 10 million informal retail outlets representing more than 90% of the total trade of essential goods. In Lagos alone, there are more than 200,000 outlets selling more than $2 billion worth of goods.

BetaStore gives better access to informal retailers to the widest assortment of goods at wholesale price and delivers to their stores. The retailers don't need to close their shops to go to the open markets and visit tens of suppliers to source for basic goods.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Junior Accountant

Job Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview

• Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.
• To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare and Present Monthly Financial reports.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Prepare and resolve bank reconciliation statements weekly and monthly.
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Ensures the right VAT administration & Federal Tax is applied in the company
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Support Auditor in conducting internal and external audits
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
• Oversee and manage daily program-wide accounting and finance functions including timely recording of transactions, cash management, banking, payroll, inventory, receivables, and payable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Professional Certification in Accounting & Finance with over 2 years of work experience in Accounting and financial reporting.

Remuneration
N150,000 Monthly.
